The X-Men Origins: Wolverine actor was recently spotted in full military garb between takes of the science fiction-adventure film.

Principal photography for Battleship, director Peter Berg's $200 million board game adaptation, is in full swing in Oahu, Hawaii. The film, which stars Alexander SkarsgÄrd, Rihanna, Taylor Kitsch, Tom Arnold and Lil Mirkk, follows the adventures of a Naval fleet who must protect Earth from extraterrestrial invaders.
Just the other day, we saw several set images of singer-turned-actress Rihanna, and today we get our first look of Taylor Kitsch; courtesy of Just Jared:

Though originally planned to be released sometime in 2011, Battleship will now be hitting theaters on May 25, 2012.

I noticed both the actors are tatted up for this movie. Is that suppose to make them hardcore military types?

We all get those same tattoos after basic training. Yes, it makes us feel tough.

Nope, that ones on my bum.
On one forearm I have a pic of John's face, on the other forearm a pic of yours. When I put my elbows together it looks like you're kissing

True or maybe he's trying to show he's a bad boy with a sensitive side. LOL.

Not many, I'm too busy scratching my ass with 'em. You guys always hit the right spots, makes me feel like Baloo from the Jungle Book.

You know, I am actually sort of interested in this film. Some of the casting has me baffled though. I think Peter Berg is an interesting director. "Friday Night Lights" "The Rundown" and "The Kingdom" were good and I liked some parts of "Hancock" (albeit not many). I also dug the DUNE concept work released in the last few days, although he is no longer on that film.

HAHA! OMG! This sounds so embarrassingly terrible. What is so exciting about this to be made into a film. Blow up ships and now aliens. Going to skip this crap for all I care.
