Curt Connors' Son and Flash Thompson Cast in SPIDER-MAN Reboot

Chris Zylka and Miles Elliot have joined the cast of the Spider-Man reboot as Flash Thompson and Billy Connors.

Chris Zylka's Flash Thompson was recently revealed in set pictures featuring Emma Stone as Gwem Stacy. The actor hinted at playing the role via his Twitter but it's officially been confirmed by The Wrap to be true.

Flash Thompson is a star football player at Peter Parker's school. Flash would constantly bully Peter Parker but he also greatly admires the hero Spider-Man, who is the alter ego of Parker. After graduation, Flash joins the Army and gains experience in combat which leads to his problem with alcoholism. Later on in the series, Flash and Peter become friends.

Also Miles Elliot has been cast to play son to Dr. Curt Connors AKA the Lizard who is being played by Rhys Ifans. Elliot had a small part in "Grey's Anatomy" last month.

The superhero flick which is directed by Marc Webb stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Martin Sheen, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Julianne Nicholson, Irrfan Khan, and Annie Parisse. The reboot is scheduled to release in 3D and 2D on July 3, 2012.
