The latest news regarding the secretive project being developed at Legendary Pictures reveals the names of several actors and actresses on the short list for the film.
The last rumbling heard about Bryan Singer's fantasy film Jack the Giant Killer can from this year's Comic Con, when green shirts with a simple beanstalk design were quietly handed around to convention attendees. The film will tell a modern day fairy tale in which the long-standing peace between men and giants is threatened, as a young farmer leads an expedition into the giants' kingdom in hopes of rescuing a kidnapped princess.
Today, The Hollywood Reporter has the scoop on the actors and actresses who are being lined up to test for the main roles in the film. Aaron Johnson, Nicholas Hoult and Aneurin Barnard are up for the young farmer role; while Adelaide Kane, Lily Collins and Juno Temple are testing for the part of the princess.

THR goes on to say, "The actors are being asked sign eight -or nine-month holds, an extraordinary amount of time for a production, according to sources in the representation community.
"The movie was originally to have begun production this past summer, but the heavy special effects work planned, with Singer pre-visualizing the work, on top of the studio tightening down on the budget, pushed the start date to March."

All I can remember from the title is a cartoon I saw back in my pre-school years with this giant guy and a small guy fighting each other cus the giant wanted to take over the little peoples' town...Anyway, not sure if I even want to see this, but the cast seems solid if they are officially being considered.
