After Lana Del Rey performed a cover of Nirvana's 'Heart Shaped Box' in Sydney Australia last week, Courtney Love tweeted some remarks towards the new artist in regards to the meaning of the song.

Lana Del Rey performed Courtney Love's late husband Kurt Cobain's opus 'Heart Shaped Box' for the Australian crowd unaware that she'd be laughed at by the song's subject. Love took to Twitter to laugh at Del Rey's performance of the Nirvana classic by informing her of the perverse meaning behind the song.
"You do know the song is about my Vagina right? 'Throw down your umbilical noose so i can climb right back,' umm. On top of which some of the lyrics about my vagina I contributed. So umm next time you sing it, think about my vagina will you? lol xc," she tweeted.
Love did however throw a compliment Del Rey's way after the humerus jabs saying, "You are gorgeous and very talented, it was all in good humor love, it is true however bwahaa."
'Heart Shaped Box' comes from the seminal 1993 Nirvana record 'In Utero'. Check out Lana Del Rey's cover below:
