Despite growing tensions within the band over the past couple years due to Tyler taking a seat on American Idol, the band performed both their new single 'Legendary Child' and the seminal classic 'Walk This Way'. The new track comes from the upcoming album 'Music From Another Dimension', which will be available August 28th. "I've been wanting this record to come out for years, but there's a reason for everything and the timing for this is just right," said guitarist Tyler Perry.

21-year old Georgia native Phillip Phillips was crowned the season 11 Idol winner after a record breaking 132 million votes. Phillips beat out runner-up Jessica Sanchez and became the fifth male singer in a row to win the title of American Idol. "It's been such an honor to be up on this stage playing with everybody . . . all the fans out there, thank y'all for voting for us. It's just been crazy," said Phillips seconds before he was announced winner.
