First Official Look at Johnny Lee Miller as Sherlock Holmes & Lucy Liu as Dr. Watson in ELEMENTARY

The upcoming CBS pilot, which will modernize Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famous detective and his trusty companion, is currently filming in New York City where the series will be taking place.

The show, titled Elementary, is a contemporary take on the cases of the pipe-smoking private eye that will based in New York City. Jonny Lee Miller (Trainspotting, Dexter, Eli Stone) will be playing the role of Sherlock Holmes, an eccentric Brit Sherlock Holmes is a former consultant to Scotland Yard whose addiction problems led him to a rehab center in New York City. Lucy Liu (Ally McBeal, Charlie's Angels will be playing the role of Joan Watson, a former surgeon who lost her license after a patient died while consulting for the New York Police Department. The two live together in an apartment in Brooklyn, New York.
