Colin Farrell Among Top Choices for TOTAL RECALL Remake

Colin Farrell is the front-runner to star in the remake of the 1990 Sci-Fi classic Total Recall but he's not alone on the shortlist of potential actors.

Len Wiseman is set to direct the film, which is aiming for a possible March start date and although no official offers have been made, the list of actors that they want starts with Farrell and also includes Tom Hardy and Michael Fassbender.

Kurt Wimmer (Law Abiding Citizen) has written the script which is based on the original 1990 film and it's source material, a story by Philip K. Dick story, titled We Can Remember It for You Wholesale.

The original lead role was given to Arnold Schwarzeneggar and that version of Total Recall started to let it's campy side take over for the second half of the film while this new version may cutback on some of that humor and focus on the more serious aspects of the material.
