Wentworth Miller Interested In Lead SPARTACUS: BLOOD AND SAND Role

It seems as though Starz is now deciding to recast the role. After Spartacus: Blood and Sand's leading man Andy Whitfield dropped out to resume treatment for his Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Starz began to consider two options: Cancel the series or recast the lead role.

It looks as though Starz is going to begin looking for someone to fill Spartacus' shoes. Wentworth Miller, known for his role in Prison Break and the latest Resident Evil: Afterlife film, is expressing interest in taking over the role.
This is somewhat surprising as it's been reported that the Prison Break star was going to be taking a break from acting to pursue becoming a screenwriter, which the actor claimed that writing scripts has always been his real passion.
No word from Starz as to whom they will be auditioning for the role.
