Pietro's DVD Review: AVENGERS EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES Vol 3 & 4

The final two volumes of this series' first season are available to take home this week. Long time Marvel fans and those just becoming Avengers fans will all take pleasure in this phenomenal show that wonderfully blends decades of comics mythology into a fast-paced and highly enjoyable new medium.

The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes is a television series on Disney DVD that is inspired by the Marvel Comics Super Hero team of the same name. Volume 3

What many dub the best comic book based animated series since Justice League Unlimited Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes is a television series that ages can easily enjoy. Kids will love the action and adventure while teens and adults will appreciate the well written dialogue. No doubt everyone will love the multitude of fantastic yet simplistically drawn characters, both heroes and villains.

Although the episodes don't exactly follow any particular comic book story arc, this series continues to inundate audiences with Marvel Comics' rich and detailed mythology. In this volume, fans will witness the Avengers team take on Baron Zemo and the Masters of Evil, dealing with the betrayal of the Black Widow and confronting Kang the Conqueror, the utilitarian dictator of their future.

This release follows the April 26th release of Volume 1 & 2 (episodes 1-13) which consumers can still find for purchase at local retail stores.

Volume 4

The final seven episodes of Season One tackle two of the Avengers most important foes: Ultron and Loki. Many longtime Marvel fans consider Ultron to be the ultimate Avengers villain, and it is very pleasing to see this series offered a fresh take on it's origin while simultaneously staying true to the beloved comics story.

As with many TV series, we are left at the end of Season One with a cliffhanger. There's no telling what will happen to our group of hardened heroes now, but rest assured this show is in great hands and the upcoming stories will undoubtedly be as enjoyable as the last ones.

This release follows the April 26th release of Volume 1 & 2 (episodes 1-13) and is accompanied with the October 25th release of Volume 3 (episodes 14-10) which will be available for consumers to purchase at their local retail store.
