THE FLASH and GREEN LANTERN 2 Scripts Expected in by End of the Year

Both Flash and the next Green Lantern movie scripts have actively been worked on for some time now. Now, a clearer idea has emerged as to when they are expected back in for Warner Bros. to begin the next step in pre-production.
Deadline is reporting that both scripts are expected in to "be handed into Warner Bros between Thanksgiving and Christmas." The scripts are from Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green. Greg Berlanti did the story on both and is still aiding in the final phase.
Berlanti has been rumored to be in the running for helming The Flash but has yet to do anything of that magnitude as far as budget or expected effects. Life As We Know It, which came in #2 at the box office this weekend is only his second feature film that he directed. While it is still a possibility for him to direct, it is very unlikely that will happen now.
"He won't want to direct it because he kinda wants to do something in between size-wise first before attempting something that large," an insider tells me. On the other hand, "If Warner Bros does like the script and wants him to direct it... But that's a lot of ifs. And all of it is moot if they don't dig the script. Green Lantern wasn't real until the studio liked the draft."
Martin Campbell is also said to "working round the clock " on editing Green Lantern due out next Summer
