AMC's Emmy Award-winning horror drama, which is based on the acclaimed comic book series by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard, returns Sunday October 16th for a 90-minute extended season debut.

The Walking Dead tells the story of the weeks and months that follow a pandemic zombie apocalypse. County Sheriff Rick Grimes travels with his family and a small group of survivors, constantly in search of a safe and secure home. But the constant pressure of fighting off death on a daily basis takes a heavy toll, sending many to the lowest depths of human cruelty. As Rick struggles to keep his family alive, he will discover that the overwhelming fear of the survivors can be far more dangerous than the mindless walkers roaming the earth.
The Walking Dead stars Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Sarah Wayne Callies, Laurie Holden, Jeffrey DeMunn, Steven Yeun, Chandler Riggs and Norman Reedus. Executive producers are Glen Mazzara, Gale Anne Hurd, Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, and Charles "Chic" Eglee. Jack LoGiudice serves as co-executive producer with Denise Huth as producer. Written by Eglee, LoGiudice, Kirkman, Glen Mazzara and Adam E. Fierro.

honestly - I don't know if I want him to go. I sympathize to a certain degree with the character now and I think Bernthal is amazing on the show. If he goes or stays I'm sure it'll be done correct either way.

I can see them keeping him around for maybe two more seasons. lol. I think they're gonna milk this love triangle as much as they can, plus I agree with Keven, I also don't know if I want them to follow the books in regards to Shane. I like the role and Bernthal on the show.
It's no different with Lafayette on True Blood. In the books he was killed off at the beginning of the second book. They kept him alive on the show and I LOVE that character and the actor who plays him. So yeah. We'll see.

Well it's been pretty obvious that the show is not strictly adhering to the books, more so based on the books it seems. Kirkman has said numerous times that he enjoys this departure from the books as well.
I do hope that they do not milk this love triangle though, lol. I can't stand those types of things.
