Reshoots Still Underway for Supernatural Action-Comedy R.I.P.D. Starring Ryan Reynolds & Jeff Bridges

Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds star in R.I.P.D., a supernatural action-adventure based on the Dark Horse comic by the same name that's scheduled to hit theaters next summer.

Welcome to the Rest In Peace Department -- the devoted, yet dead, officers of divine law enforcement "patrolling the deadbeat...reporting to one boss." Yep -- THAT boss. Nick Cruz was murdered by an unknown assailent, at the height of his personal and professional life. Now he's traded a hundred years of service to the R.I.P. D. in exchange for a shot at finding who killed him. Unfortunately his search will take him to Hell and back -- literally!

Universal Pictures recently pushed the film's theatrical release to July 19th, 2013 to accommodate for more post production time. It's now been confirmed that reshoots are taking place this month as well.

According to OnLocationVacations, filming is taking place from day break to sunset in Los Angeles, California, throughout the weekend. There's no word which principle cast members are present.

Directed by Robert Schwentke (R.E.D.), R.I.P.D. stars Jeff Bridges, Ryan Reynolds, Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker and Stephanie Szostak. Neal H. Moritz, Michael Fottrell and Mike Richardson are producing.
