Hitting theaters May 3, 2013, Iron Man 3 returns Robert Downey, Jr. as the iconic super hero character Tony Stark/Iron Man along with Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Don Cheadle as James “Rhodey” Rhodes and Ben Kingsley as the villainous Mandarin

Iron Man 3 is loosely based on Warren Ellis' six-issue "Extremis" comic book story arc which focuses on the spread of a virus through nanotechnology that eventually causes Tony Stark to engineer a new suit that is integrated directly into his body. The Mandarin, a terrorist villain and leader of the 10 Rings organization featured in the first two films, will finally make his entrance into the franchise.

After spending the past few months in production in North Carolina the cast and crew of Iron Man 3 have moved down to South Florida where they will film for the next few weeks. The following photos were snapped today on the set between takes:

Iron Man 3 is directed by Shane Black based off of a script by Drew Pierce. The film stars Robert Downy Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, Sir Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, James Badge Dale and Ashley Hamilton. Iron Man 3 is scheduled for theatrical release on May 3, 2013.
