Chuck Norris Says Working on THE EXPENDABLES 2 was Special But Won't Return for Another Film

Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and the rest of the Expendables movie crew are prepping for a third installment of nostalgic, action-packed film series.

The Expendables are back and this time it's personal... Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Lee Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) -- with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard -- are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time -- six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that's nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. That is done the Expendables way....

The Expendables 2 is directed by Simon West (The Mechanic) and stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Jean Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Scott Adkins, Liam Hemsworth and Bruce Willis.

Definitive plans to move ahead with a third installment to the franchise will rely heavily on the success of The Expendables 2, which was released in theaters last week. However, producer Avi Lerner recently stated that Clint Eastwood, Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes and Nicolas Cage are already being pursued for roles.

Now, action movie superstar Chuck Norris -- who played crowd pleasing scene stealer Booker, the 'Lone Wolf' mercenary, in the sequel -- has confirmed that he will not be among the actors who take part in the next film but shares his gratitude for being involved in this one:

"Nope. Just number 2. This is it for me. Oh, yeah. This is very special… Just to be able to do the film with guys I’ve known for many, many years. To get a chance to get in and fight with them, it was a lot of fun. Plus getting a chance to meet Terry Crews, who I hadn’t met before. And Jason Statham, whom I hadn’t met before. It was fun just to do that."
