JUSTIN BIEBER Gets Bloody & Beaten Up in MMA Inspired Photoshoot

The 18-year-old pop star is on the cover of Complex magazine's April issue and the photo shoot features the singer in various stages of brutal battle within a ring. Bieber's third studio effort 'Believe' is due to be released sometime in 2012.

In what appears to be a direct response to the criticism of Justin Bieber's previous photoshoot for V Magazine, in which many accused the singer of appearing too feminine, it appears this new approach is the complete opposite. "Every guy has feminine qualities," said Bieber in response to the V Magazine photos. "You're raised by your mother and father, and I was raised mostly by my mother. I think the pictures turned out good -- so whatever."

Bieber's father used to be an MMA fighter and in the photos below, you can catch the pop star throwing an arm bar on what appears to be a much larger man in perhaps some unintentionally hilarious fashion. Bieber also commented on his upcoming new record saying:

"People just need to take a chance and listen. If they don't want to take a chance, then I don't know. That's going to be the biggest problem, to make them feel like it's cool for them to like my music."
