Paramount Confirms Interest in MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: GHOST PROTOCOL Followup

Notice came directly from Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman (who oversees the parent of Paramount Pictures) who when asked by a shareholder at a recent meeting stated that the company does plan to continue the franchise with another installment. There's no word yet whether the main cast -- including headliner Tom Cruise -- or crew will return.

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, directed by Brad Bird, starred Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Paula Patton, Josh Holloway, and Michael Nyqvist and was released in theaters on December 21th, 2011.
