DC Comics Preview: SUICIDE SQUAD #6

Harley Quinn has escaped Belle Reve Penitentiary and is on the run. In next week’s issue of SUICIDE SQUAD the Hunt for Harley begins.

Batman female foe Harley Quinn has hit the road toward Gotham City in search of her "puddin'," the Joker, in a two-part story arc beginning in Suicide Squad issue 6, out Wednesday in comic shops and on digital devices from DC Comics. Hot on her trail, though, are Deadshot and the rest of her "teammates" from the Squad.

Via USA Today: 'Writer Adam Glass is using the multi-chapter run, dubbed "The Hunt for Harley Quinn," to take her origin story, put a fresh twist on it and dig a little deeper into what made Arkham Asylum psychiatrist Harleen Quinzel fall for her patient, the psychotic "Mr. J.," and dress up like a harlequin jester to become the Joker's moll.

'At the same time, Glass also is imbuing her with a little bit of independence. "This is Harley's solo album," he says. "She's going out and trying to see what the world is like out there. It doesn't mean she doesn't love Mr. J — that's the love of her life.'
