Last Issue of Image Comics' THE INTREPIDS Gets 4 New Promos

With the miniseries coming to a close in a flurry of action this coming Comics Wednesday, its creator Kurtis J. Wiebe sent over some promotional images to wet readers appetite for a climatic battle that includes gun toting baboons against cyber-bears.

The Intrepids is a six issue mini series being released through Image Comics in March, 2011. Combining the creative talents of writer Kurtis J. Wiebe and illustrator Scott Kowalchuk, the series is a classic blend of James Bond meets Oliver Twist.

The Intrepids are a collection of runaway and homeless teenagers that have been taken in and cared for by an aging inventor, Dante. After years of earning their trust, he reveals to them his plan for a safer, smarter future.

Dante unveils his designs, marvelous technological contraptions that can significantly enhance their natural abilities.

With his vision and help, the teenagers agree to don his technology for the betterment of mankind. Together, they combat tyranny and stop madmen from bringing harm to the world.
