Quentin Tarantino's DJANGO UNCHAINED May Recruit Leading Lady Kerry Washington

The Lakeview Terrace actress is in negotiations to play the part of Django's wife Broomhilda, who is held prisoner as her man (Jamie Foxx) stops at nothing to set her free.

Kerry Washington has met with director Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction) about the role but nothing is set in stone. A few unnamed actresses have also tried out, but so far every major star who has been mentioned for their respective roles aside from Will Smith, has ended up boarding the project.
Django Unchained is written and directed by Quentin Tarantino (Kill Bill) and stars Jamie Foxx (Ray) as Django, a slave turned bounty hunter searching for his wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington). Under the guidance of German gunslinger Dr. King Schultze (Christoph Waltz), the two begin their quest to find Django's wife, who is being held captive by the despicable Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his right hand man Steven (Samuel L. Jackson). The movie hits theaters December 25, 2012.
New plot details reveal that the villain Candie runs a seedy club which he has dubbed CandieLand. The plantation is located in Mississippi, where female slaves are exploited as sex objects while the men are pitted against each other in “mandingo” style death matches.

Sounds like another same ol same ol weird Tarantino film. His schtick is getting old. Releasing this hard R rated film on XMas Day is a mistake also. People don't want to see graphic, dark weird films on XMas Day?
