PIRANHA 3DD Set Photos Show Mutilated Bodies & the 'Big Wet Water Park'

The cast and crew of the grotesque horror-comedy's upcoming sequel took over the Jungle Rapids water part in Wilmington, North Carolina, to begin filming.

There’s something in the water . . . again. And this time no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of the best summer attraction, The Big Wet Water Park.

From Feast trilogy director John Gulager and starring Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, David Koechner, Chris Zylka, Katrina Bowden, Gary Busey, Christopher Lloyd and David Hasselhoff, Piranha 3DD hits theaters June 1st, 2012.

Several weeks ago, a detailed outline was leaked online for Piranha 3DD and, though it has yet to be confirmed by the studio, gives plenty of details about it's plot (or lack thereof):

For this go around it appears the meat-eating prehistoric psycho fish are making their way into the town pipes, plumbing, swimming pools and most intriguing of all a newly opened waterpark called 'The Big Wet Water Part’. This should make for an interesting change of pace compared to the last film, and the enclosed setting of man-made waters should make for some exciting and terrifying chaos.

Maddy will serve as the film's primary protagonist. She aspires to get out of her backwoods town in which she is derided by its denizens and aspire to become a marine biologist. As the daughter of the water park owner, she is the first to discover the fishy menace. To rid her home of the threat, she enlist the help of Barry a hacker with a heart of gold who waste his considerable intelligence and talent picking up others' trash.

Other characters include slutty sisters Ashley and Shelby. The first is the more promiscuous and sinister of the two. It was reported that she is featured in a scene which includes a gentleman caller, handcuffs, and a van being submerged in infested waters. The latter is described as more quiet and smart, but with the grand ambition of losing her virginity. Maddy's ex Kyle is said to be a womanizing local deputy with a knack for playing with girls' emotions.
