Mysterious Promo Video Shows Isaiah Mustafa as the Marvel Superhero LUKE CAGE
A short teaser video has appeared online featuring the Old Spice spokesman as Marvel's Power Man, a role he has been petitioning Marvel Studios for.
A streetwise youth, the man called Carl Lucas was sent to prison for a crime he did not commit. In exchange for parole, Lucas clandestinely underwent an experimental procedure, originally intended to generate immunity to all illness; instead, it inadvertently granted him steel-hard skin and heavier, enhanced muscle. After escaping Seagate Prison, he forged the identity of "Luke Cage" becoming a hero for hire -- a sort of super-enhanced private detective -- although Cage commonly refused money, or simply received none, for cases. Later, he formed a business partnership with the martial arts hero Danny Rand, known as Iron Fist.
Several months ago, reps for Marvel Studios hinted that a Luke Cage film or television series was in the works. Since then, TV personality Isaiah Mustafa has been publicly pursing the role, going as far as to pose for unofficial promotional images. The actor also revealed that he has gone as far as to speak with the studio about the possibility of portraying the hero: "I've already had a meeting with Marvel. I talked to them and I told them that I was a gracious reader of their comics and that I wanted to be Luke Cage. So we'll see where they take it."
Recently a cryptic promo video appeared on the net showing Mustafa as Luke Cage, though there is no clarification as to where it came from:

Not really diggin' the glowy eyes, or his lack of hugeness. He's supposed to be Power Man, not Slightly Powered Man. This is definitely along the lines of what the dude did for MK: Rebirth and got the web series. Maybe this fella is hoping he'll get a role outta this vid. Who knows though, who knows!

This was quite elaborate. I hope that they use him. He wants it bad enough, obviously. I'll be dissapointed if they DON'T use him........and buff him up some more.

I think he only needs to gain like 10-15 pounds, it's not like he's in BAD shape. I'd most like to see a Luke Cage Movie and Iron Fist movie separately, and then Heroes For Hire being the squeal to both.
