Latest WONDER WOMAN TV Series Set Pics Reveal Changes to the Heroine's Costume

UPDATE: The NBC pilot, which is currently filming in Los Angeles, California, has so far been met with mixed reactions from fans -- mostly due to the first official image of the Wonder Woman costume; now it seems the studio has altered the suit in the middle of production.

The new Wonder Woman series is a reinvention of the iconic DC Comics title in which the heroine – AKA Diana Prince – is a vigilante crime fighter in Los Angeles but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.

It was announced a few weeks back that Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights, Red Dawn) will star in the title role of Wonder Woman. Tracie Thoms has been cast as a regular, playing Etta the bubbly personal assistant of Diana and Pedro Pascal will play a liaison to the police department who is devoted and loyal to the princess of power. Elizabeth Hurley has signed on to portray the show's villain opposite Palicki, while Cary Elwes will portray the CEO of the company owned by Diana Prince, Themyscira Industries. Justin Bruening (Knight Rider) has joined the cast to portray Steve Trevor, a former Army officer and current Justice Department agent who is also the leading man in Diana's life; while Joseph Gatt (Thor) has taken up to the role of John O’Quinn, a man who works for Veronica Cale as a physical presence against Wonder Woman.

Taken just last night on the TV pilot's set off of Hollywood Boulevard, these images -- which come courtesy of one of our readers -- show Adrianne Palicki along with her stunt double and recent changes made to the Wonder Woman costume:

Holy [crap]! I passed by there about 8:00 pm after my college classes. I pass by there every day except Saturday and Sunday. Hope they're still shooting there cus I may get a sneak preview of a very risky show lol. Regarding the suit; I must say it looks much better.

I really like the changes. The outfit seems a little more grounded in reality and functional. And RED BOOTS!!! Laughing out loud

One thing I'm curious about. I'm not too familiar with the behind-the-scenes aspect of film making. Is it really that cold out or are they trying to protect the costume when, as soon as she is off camera, they are giving her a coat? I know here it is freaking freezing but I wasn't sure about on the west coast. But I figure aside from the VFX, the costume is probably the most expensive part of the production.

I like the pic where she's wearing uggs, haha. The changes are much better. A wider tiara and better belt would improve it even more.

With scenes like this, I can already imagine all the "wardrobe malfunctions" she is going to get with that corset. Twisted

They should give her some makeup though. Whore makeup was much better than no makeup, or whatever she is having now.

Color me impressed! It appears that they're actually listening to feedback and that can't be bad. Also, Krysalid, I think most of the pics are of the stunt woman, I like Palicki's more natural look. It's just a few changes, but they all go to better the costume. This is a pilot right now (Has it been ordered as a series already?), so more changes will probably be made. Good stuff for now though.

Please note my statement above about the stunt woman. Rolleyes Notice how her face magically changes between the pic with the Uggs and the actual chase scene. At least we know that the stunt double casts a passing resemblance.

How come when i google Adrianne Palicki she looks hot, but every time i look at her as Wonder Woman, she looks weird? Confused

I think i just crossed the line from pragmatically optimistic to cautiously excited for this.
The fact that Robinov said that this series will not impact one way or the other whether or not WW get a big screen film also helps take the edge off.

I am talking about Adrianne Palicki. She looks better in everything else. It may be Thad black hair or even the haircut. She doesn't look as hot.

I hope you're joking because it is so obvious man. It's like in front of our faces. You can clearly tell who is Adrian and who is the stunt woman lol. Besides, the stunt woman actually looks great for her age. Adrian is hot. I am surprised that I am a bit excited for this show lol. I will try to just forget the disgusting script I read a while back and hope for the best.

If they listened to the fallout from the costume, then maybe we can hope for rewrites as well. *fingers crossed*

This all just looks so very cool to me. I didn't like the original photo...the suit looked too shiny and she looked too airbrushed, but seeing her in action is exciting. And in regards to all the comments about the stunt double, i'm sorry to break it too you all but she is the one playing WW...the WW we all want to see. Unfortunately she won't get as much credit as this Adrian chick.

I'm less worried about the costume than I am the direction the show will be taking. Everything I have read about the series, it's pilot and premise, screams Ally McBeal with super powers. Hence why on twitter and other places I have called this series Ally McAmazon. If and this is a big if, they can balance the work a day girl in the big city bits with a true super hero show then it might work.

I however am not holding my breath, I will watch the pilot and perhaps a few episodes into the season but if this goes where all indications say it's going them I won't finish the season.

I'll give it a shot but I am expecting nothing.

Wow! I couldn't tell which one was the stunt double. They both look so similar. I guess, I'll be able to tell better on a larger tv screen and preferably in hd. I'm excited to see the trailer.

I’ve come down pretty hard on Geoff Johns for his weak-sauce approach to Wonder Woman in Justice League, and a lot of my ire comes from comparing his take to Azzarello’s undeniably impressive version of her in her own ongoing.
