The Lego-themed adventure games will have plenty of action for fans of the series, and also sport a humorous element to spice up the stories.
Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game will chronicle Jack Sparrow's journey through all of the Pirates films, including On Stranger Tides, which will hit theaters May 20.
Lego Pirates will be one of the first titles to be featured on Nintendo's upcoming 3D handheld gaming system, the 3DS. The game will utilize the 3DS' new Street Pass technology, allowing nearby gamers to engage in fierce sword fights.
The game is being developed by Lego game veterans Traveller's Tales, and is set to coincide with the release of On Stranger Tides, coming to PC, Nintendo Wii, DS, and 3DS, Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP on May 13.
Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars is the fourth Lego Star Wars game to be released. The series is credited with popularizing Lego video games, and remains extremely popular. Lego Star Wars III will follow the story in The Clone Wars animated TV series shown on Cartoon Network. The game also includes an upgraded graphics engine and several new combat features. Players will hear voice acting from the same actors featured on the TV show, including Samuel L. Jackson and Christopher Lee, who played Mace Windu and Count Dooku in the live action films.
The game is also being developed by Travellor's Tales, and is set to be released March 22 in North America and March 25 in Europe for PC, Xbox 360, PSP, PS3, Wii, DS, and 3DS.
