Olivia Wilde Added to List of Possible Lois Lane Contenders for Zack Snyder's SUPERMAN
Just this morning, five popular actresses were linked to role of The Daily Planet's investigative reporter, and now the Tron: Legacy starlet's name has been added to the list.
Last Sunday, movie fans were surprised by a last minute press release from Warner Bros confirming Tudors actor Henry Cavill as the next Man of Steel. Cavill beat out Matthew Bomer (White Collar), Matthew Goode (Watchmen), Joe Manganiello (True Blood), Armie Hammer (The Social Network) and relative newcomer Colin O’Donoghue (The Rite) for the role of Clark Kent in the upcoming reboot being helmed by Zack Snyder (Sucker Punch).
Now the hunt for other key characters begins, and WhatsPlaying.com reported that Kristen Stewart (The Twilight Saga), Malin Akerman (Watchmen), Dianna Agron (GLEE), Jessica Biel (The A-Team) and Rachel McAdams (Morning Glory) are all on the screen test list for the part of Lois Lane; a part portrayed in Superman Returns by Kate Bosworth.
LatinoReview.com has added another name to the supposed short list: Olivia Wilde, who was last seen in Disney's Tron: Legacy and will appear next in director Jon Favreau's Cowboys & Aliens. The site goes on to say that, if Wilde lands the role, filming for her upcoming movie KIN will have to be pushed back to accommodate both productions. The yet to be titled Superman film is scheduled to begin production this spring in preparation for a December 2012 theatrical release.

I could see Wilde pulling this off, but I'd still rather see McAdams get a shot.

I agree with John. McAdams seems like the best choice I've heard but Wilde is a good choice too and I wouldn't be against it.

Nice addition. I prefer Wilde now. McAdams has a soft/cute look that I don't think suits Lois as well.

I can definitely see her as Lois. Hope she gets it. I also like Kate Beckinsale, but Olivia would be a great choice as well.

As long as it isn't Kristen (I sound like I'm constipated when I talk in movies.) Stewart or Jessica (She's super hot, but not that good of an actress.) Biel. If it's either Wilde or McAdams I'd be okay with it. Snyder and Nolan are smart fellas so they won't let us down!!
