Sneak Peek: New GREEN LANTERN Movie Promo Art
Published: January 30, 2011 - 7:51pm
Exclusive: While plenty more artwork and merchandise is destined to be revealed at next month's Toy Fair, here's a new look at several images that will be used to market the superhero film.

In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.
Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax…he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

Green Lantern, directed by Martin Campbell, stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Mark Strong, Peter Sarsgaard, Tim Robbins and Angela Bassett. The film is scheduled to hit 2D and 3D theaters June 17th, 2011.

Looks good to me.

Now that they're showing more finalized shots of the suit, I'm more hyped for this one.

OMG! This is too damn awesome!
Gaston
Nice.
The suit looks better and better in every new picture.
Darkneo
This is great, now that's a GL suit!

I wouldn't put my hopes up. This is PROMO ART. The final look at the suit is already in the trailers. That. Is. It. Full fake-looking CGI mode ON. This is like the PROMO ART on Superman Returns (ugh).
Case in point, see this Superman Returns Cinefex cover that's taken from one of the PROMO ART.

The GL suit I'm afraid wont look this real.

I'm with you about 50% pal. Promo art always looks much better than the actual film suits. Once you add movement to it, it completely changes the visual quality.
But, from what I've heard the film's CG should be quite better than what we saw in the first trailer. The guys at Sony Imageworks (bleh) have been getting their asses handed to them because of the poor reception from the trailer.

Have to say these are wonderful pics.... Feel better knowing that they're still working and tweaking on the costume. This could be mediocre or it could be epic. Hoping for the latter !

I like the image you used on the home page slide show the most. Looks great though.

I really like the pose in the second to last one. Looks like good old silver age Hal!

The lantern emblem on the Chest will definitely be different, I think the final product will be more of a projection and less of a physical part of the suit, which I like better myself.

The almost glare....the iconic Green Lantern poses...the VERY well defined Black and Green.....
AWESOME!!!!!!
