Take a Hi-Res Look at the Cast of Matthew Vaughn's X-MEN: FIRST CLASS
UPDATE: Though the film is currently undergoing reshoots, 20th Century Fox has decided that fans have waited long enough for their first look at James McAvoy, January Jones and the rest of the X-Men prequel cast.
Directed by Matthew Vaughn, the film stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Jones, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Morgan Lily, Zoe Kravitz, Bill Bilner. It opens in theaters on June 3, 2011.
X-Men First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

I think it's pretty unnecessary for Hank to be blue in this, but whatever. It might just be the lighting and the face he's making, but he looks more like Beast's second mutation than TLS Beast. I do like the blue and yellow uniforms, though. The leather needed to go. Still not that excited about this.

I really don't want to be the guy shouting "Nay!" But... um... this looks no better than an episode of Smallville. Seriously. This is okay... but... I hope the budget was under 50 million.
I agree with theguilty1... Hank would be human at this point. They could have used that money to get a special forehead reduction surgery for Mystique.
I just feel like this is a TV movie.

Yeah, I've come to terms with Singer's X-Men. It helps that Wolverine isn't in this one. In my mind, I'm ignoring X3 and Origins since Singer had no part in them. I'm curious about the story and the young actors, so I'll probably watch this. I just won't be paying for it.
I'd be surprised if this movie fails considering how something as bad as Origins manages to make money- even when the work print was leaked!

Wow, way to play down honest criticism.
I honestly feel like the picture reveals sub par fx and a collection of people who just don't seem to have a personality. I'm not a fan boy and I'm certainly not pissed off at anything, least of all Beast's appearance. If I point something out, I'm not threatening to boycot the movie or the company... it's just to voice an opinion. 90% of people who complain will end up seeing the movie anyway. If they're not adult enough to put aside personal opinions and give the movie a chance, sure they're babies... but at this point, all we can do is talk.
Anyway, disliking something isn't childish. Vaughn may have had hits, but that doesn't mean he has the midas touch. Spiderman 1 rocked, but look at 3. Good people make bad things. It happens. Even Einstein went to his grave regretting some of his mistakes. People are always going to complain... it's human nature.
