ET Releases Teaser Video for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER Set Visit

Update: A teaser video for ET's behind the scenes episode of Captain America movie footage has gone online, briefly showing Chris Evans as the Star Spangled Avenger.

The year is 1942, and Steve Rogers is a scrawny lad who desperately wants to fight Nazis for his country but can’t because he’s been deemed physically unfit. His fate — and his physique — is radically transformed when he signs up for Project: Rebirth, a secret military operation that turns wimps into studs using drugs and assorted sci-fi hoo-ha. There’s a love interest (Major Peggy Carter, played Haley Atwell), there’s a sidekick (Bucky Barnes, played by Sebastian Stans), and there’s the Red Skull (Hugo Weaving), Hitler’s treacherous head of advanced weaponry, whose own plan for world domination involves a magical object known as The Tesseract (comic fans know it better as The Cosmic Cube).

Captain America: The First Avenger stars Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci, Haley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, Dominic Cooper Toby Jones and Neal McDonough. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on July 22nd, 2011.

HOLY JIZZ! This is such a great way to begin 2011! Too bad the footage was incredibly brief, but when the trailer releases or more behind the scenes footage debuts, everyone is gonna have immense nerdgasms!

Wow.

Back before I got married and had two kids.... back before the divorce and raising kids by myself... back before slaving away at a job for 13 years... I had self respect and I would have thought anyone who'd be this excited about seeing 6 seconds of blurry footage of a Captian America live action movie would be a total loser.

But now...

I'm that guy.

I was never a real Cap fan, but I always liked the character. It's good to have someone that is a GOOD guy. A guy who'd even go against America if it were the right thing to do. (Cival War)

I am excited. I'm a little worried that he looked too young and shiny.. but then it's his origin.

Glad you grew up. I can't stand anyone that looks down their nose at others simply for their station in life.

As Captain America would say "...all men are created equal." Where else have I heard that...

Could be, since that looks like Dum Dum Dugan with the Bowler hat right behind. But wearing all leather? And I can't make out the helmet, it looks like long hair.

That's Cap, bro. You can see the USO shield in his back.
I'm guessing this scene is where they go rescue Bucky, since it looks like Cap is still wearing his USO outfit.

Actually, I thought the long hair there was part of his jacket, like the padded neck-line. Either way, I'm grateful for the clip. Hopefully a trailer will appear soon.

I don't think this movie will rely so much on CGI, if at all. So whatever they show should be good.
