Billboard Unveils Top Selling Hard Rock Albums of 2010

According to Nielsen SoundScan, Billboard.com has released the top selling 50 hard rock albums for the entire year, although not all albums were actually released in 2010.

Canadian rock outfit Nickelback has taken the first overall spot with their album Darkhorse, a record they released in 2008. To date the album has sold over 5 million copies and was ranked #191 on Billboard's top 200 albums of the decade. Darkhorse has stayed on the Billboard top 200 sales chart for a 105 consecutive weeks.

Not shocked at #1, totally stunned by #2.
Nickleback's Dark Horse is the soundtrack to a strip club. Parents who took their kids to the concert (and there were a ton of them) had to be shocked and embarrassed when they launched into every song that wasn't Photograph. Great live band too. VERY entertaining!

I think The Long Road was Nickelback's peak, I can't listen to them without hating myself and the music.
