Production Confirmed on Sixth SPLINTER CELL Game

A follow up to the widely successful spy game Splinter Cell: Conviction is currently in the works according to a developer at Ubisoft.

Lt. Cmdr. Samuel "Sam" Fisher, USN (Ret.) is the main protagonist of the popular Splinter Cell video game franchise, developed by Ubisoft and based on the novels of Tom Clancy. Fisher is a field operative of the "Splinter Cell" program for Third Echelon, a top-secret sub-branch within the National Security Agency (NSA). After headlining five highly successful games, the latest being Splinter Cell: Conviction, it was only a matter of time before production began on a sixth installment; one that many fans are all to eager to get their hands on.
In a recent promotional video highlighting Ubisoft Toronto's upcoming developmental slate, Managing Director Jade Raymond revealed the news:
“We’re working on Splinter Cell 6, the next iteration of the blockbuster franchise, and we’re doing it entirely here in Toronto.”
Splinter Cell 6 (official title not yet announced) is one of five “triple-A games” currently in development at the recently established Canadian studio. Until further news of the project is revealed, take a look back at the latest storyline in the Splinter Cell series in this trailer from Splinter Cell: Conviction.

I wish that they'd give us a movie based on the first book!

Ditto. I'll trade that new Jack Ryan film any day for a Splinter Cell or Rainbow Six movie. Clancy has plenty of material for new franchises.
