Jon Favreau May Direct Disney Flick MAGIC KINGDOM

Disney is coming out with yet another flick based on one of the theme park attractions like previous films Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion.

Magic Kingdom will be Disney's take on Night At the Museum as the film will focus on how the characters and attraction come to life within the Disneyland theme park.

Iron Man director Jon Favreau will possibly direct the Disney project depending on the script’s development. Favreau is currently in post-production on the upcoming summer flick Cowboys & Aliens which stars Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford. His future projects in development are Me and My Monster and Johnny Zero. Favreau will also be joining forces with Robert Downey Jr. for a third Iron Man film which will be distributed by Disney after the company bought out the rights from Paramount.

Marc Abraham and Eric Newman will be producers on Magic Kingdom and the original script was penned by Battlestar Galactica showrunner Ron Moore but the studio is currently in search of someone to work on a new draft of the screenplay under Favreau.

Wow, nice info Kim! As far as I'm concerned, Favreau can direct someone crapping and I'd go see it...well, if there's lasers involved.

This is exciting news!

The guy crapping lasers has already been cast in X-men: First Class. Laughing out loud He's like Cyclops with one big difference.
