Three production stills and new footage have been released for the third installment to the Chronicles of Narnia film series, based on the acclaimed children's novels
Lucy and Edmund Pevensie return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world.

I love me some Narnia

I'm a big Narnia fan and I think they've done a pretty good job with the movies. This is one of my favorite books of the series, so here's hoping it's great and that they don't use Reepicheep as just comedy relief.

Yeah Reepicheep is voiced this time by Simon Pegg
I wonder if they really will do all 7

Simon Pegg for Reepicheep? Didn't Eddie Izzard do him previously?
I think Pegg would do him justice, I've been playing Fable 3 and Pegg voices one of the revolutionaries in it, very well done.

Yeah, Izzard was Reepicheep in Prince Caspian. I'm torn on this a little bit though. I love Pegg and in no way doubt his ability to play the part well, I just thought Izzard did a great job and I would have liked if he was in this one as well.

Whoa! This looks intense. I must say, I have thoroughly enjoyed the Narnia film series as well as Harry Potter. I look forward to watching this and Harry Potter especially the Green Lantern trailer lol.

I wish I lived in Narnia.

i say stop at six... let the prequel be the closer. the last book is so self-indulgently proselytory it ceases to function as a story and would never hold together as a film. imo. then again, i'm an atheist as well as a narniaphile... if that's possible.

It is possible in the same way that one does not have to believe in the Force to enjoy Star Wars films. (Although, I would make the argument that one would need the Force to get through some bits of the prequels.
) I agree with you on the last book, but like the theological discussion it creates (There's bits about Universalism in it.). I'd just really like to see "The Horse and His Boy" before it all ends. Welcome to the Blam Alt4, you might have to change your avatar. Three-quarters of users on here have GL avatars and it gets confusing.

thanks for the welcome, upupandaway, and you, interestingjohn, for remembering me. life gets extremely busy for a single father of three once the school year begins, and i have had little time for chatroom luxury. but i do miss the exchange of ideas and have wanted to return for some time. i realize my avatar is less unique than it was when i first unveiled it, but i'll stick with it i think... it's simple but it took me over an hour to make it... and i think it's pretty.
and i'll still be rockin' it when most others have moved on to batman and superman logos
as for the last battle, yes, i may have allowed my comment to be too unilateral about it's message of rapture, but i still fail when i attempt to extract enough of a narrative for a film. my atheist comment was meant wryly, but perhaps failed to read as such... but i must disagree with your response by, say, 40-50%... because while i DO enjoy the books as fantasy, it's less entertaining when i know the author is openly attempting to communicate a sincere belief. at no point do i feel like Lucas wants me to BELIEVE in midichlorians... but to Lewis, Aslan is an avatar for something genuine and tangible, and he wants his readers to, through his books, gain a yearning to meet him and walk with him. it's a little creepy to me.
anyway i agree that a [fourth and] fifth would be sufficient, although i think book 6 would be a beautiful and fitting ending to bring the tale full circle.
thanks for your comment
it's good to be back.

@Alt4- It is harder when you know the author's intent. All I'm saying is that I don't think Narnia need be exclusive to Christians if they can just view Lewis's evangelism as part of the fiction. I still agree with you about the Last Battle and the Magician's Nephew. By the way it's going though, I don't think they'll include the Horse and His Boy. I was kidding about your avatar let your banner wave friend.
