JAMES BOND is Back in Business With a Release Date of 2012

Now that MGM has settled it's money issues for the time being, they are ready to get back on track with the new James Bond film, but is Daniel Craig ready to suit up as 007?

MGM is apparently committed to shooting the 23rd James Bond film within the next two years with a targeted release of November 2012 planned.

Before the film was indefinitely delayed due to MGM's bankruptcy crisis, Sam Mendes was attached to direct and Daniel Craig was set to return as Bond. Currently Mendes is eying an adaptation of the novel On Chesil Beach although nothing is set in stone on his end. Craig is in the middle of filming the first of three installments in the English adaptation of the Millennium Trilogy and he's also optioned for a possible sequel to Cowboys & Aliens.

If all goes according to plan and when MGM can get back on it's feet after having partners help them to finance different film projects, including The Hobbit and the future Bond films, then word is they want to release a Bond film every other year starting November, 2012.

Coolness. I hope he comes back. I loved Casino Royale, and I thought Quantum of Solace was pretty good. Hope this one hits the target for me as well.

Casino Royale was a dammmn good movie..Quantum of Solace..not so much..but I probably won't see this if Craig isn't Bond.

Casino Royale was great because it had a bit of suave to it. I enjoyed Quantum of Solace for the most part, but it was more generic action than Bond. Hope this next one brings back the suave.

Hands down, the best Bond movie ever made. Not silly, not preposterous (except, maybe, Bond's ability to cheat death), very intelligent; held my interest for all 143 minutes. Would see it again if going to the movies didn't mean taking out a payday loan no credit check to pay for the ticket. The critics raved about Daniel Craig in 'Casino Royale', but I think he was as interesting as a thug in it - this time I did care what happened to James Bond.
