Michael Bay Debunks Leaked Poster For TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON

UPDATE: A new teaser poster has been revealed for the new Transformers film which seems to give fans a glimpse of Shockwave.

The film's director, Michael Bay, noted on his forum that both the poster and tagline are not official studio representations.

Thanks to TFormers, fans now have a sneak peek at the second teaser poster for the next installment to the Transformers franchise, Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.

Can't judge just based on this pic alone.Besides, i think it's a fake.the movie isn't done shooting, and they're already releasing it on 7th January?

This would also pass as a Pokemon poster.

I can't say how increasingly pissed off I am when it comes to the movie version of this franchise.

The franchise IS NOT crap. That would be like saying the Superman film franchise is crap. They are certainly not! They just had bad producers, writers, and a VERY BAD director. Franchises are bad in and of themselves. They just aren't treated correctly.

Superman is something else entirely though bud. The Superman "film" franchise has held on its own incredibly well. They had quality compared to the generic action oriented Transformers. Transformers was horrible from start. It's not about depth, but pure action and high octane entertainment. The Transformers "film" franchise overall is intended for children and teens ranging from ages 10 to 17. Many of my friends and I just find this "film" franchise a bit stupid for our age (18 to 30) I guess we just don't like big action throughout an entire film. The robots have more character than the central characters lol. I think you misinterpreted my comment earlier. I did not mean the franchise overall, I meant the Michael Bay [crap].

However there is a downside to too much depth for example Superman Returns. It was a great film, but lacked excitement by missing big action sequences. I am sure the reboot will be a more complete Superman film with a perfect balance of Action and a Story Driven plot.

It's July 7 bud! In America the month comes before the day.

I don't care much for what people say about these movies. I enjoy them because right now it's the only film version of Transformers that I can have. When someone else comes along, and they will, and makes a more Gee-wunish version of the movies to appease the hardcore people, I'm going to enjoy that as well. As long as nobody throws in any Beast Wars I'll be perfectly content with what I can get. At least they aren't directed by Uwe Boll and contain the same quality of Transmorphers. Could have done without Skids and Mudflap and Devastator's balls, but just about every movie ever made has something stupid in it. Ewoks? Sam and Frodo love fest? Death of Harvey Dent? Spider-man 3!

I certainly don't think SR's problems were too much drama. Any well balanced movie would have that. SR's problems included other things that really made it suck. It was WAY out of Superman's character to be an effeminate stalking deadbeat dad! And yes, the lack of action. But the other parts were just as much, if not more, some of the bigger gripes with the film. As Tobulicious said, if it were more in the way of G1, it'd be a better movie. I think its safe to say, you and I agree that the blame for these films not having a broader range of fanbase is Michael Bay. They have the potential to have more depth to where one has seen the history of these character and their plight, to actually care about them and where they are going. Bay hasn't given us that. He just give us robots fighting. I don't want that. You don't want that. I want a story to know WHY they are fighting, other than "Megatron wants to control the universe."
