RandomBLAM! BATMAN BEYOND Live Action Concept Art

A gifted artist has put together a detailed CG rendering of a suit based off of the popular 1990's cartoon series Batman Beyond, which gives fans an idea of how the character would translate to film.

Fueled by remorse and vengeance, a high schooler named Terry McGinnis revives the role of Batman. Under supervision of an elderly Bruce Wayne, he dons a technologically advanced suit and fights crime in a harsh futuristic Gotham.

Batman Beyond is set in the chronological future of the DC animated universe, although it was released before Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, and Static Shock. The series exploited the darker side of many Batman projects, playing on key elements such as emotions, personal relations, the fear of the unknown, and technological malfunctions. As such, it was considerably darker than most other children's programs at the time, although producer Bruce Timm recalls it was conceived as a kid-friendly Batman cartoon.

Although director Christopher Nolan is hard at work bringing the final chapter of his Batman film series to the silver screen, Bat-fans around the world have been hoping for a live-action treatment of Batman Beyond for many years. Although DC Entertainment has not revealed any plans to make this pipe dream a reality, one talented fan has taken it upon himself to show the teeming masses how the futuristic character could appear on screen:

This is why I wasn't completely against the rumor that they considered motion captured/photo realistic cg for George Miller's Justice League movie. You could make the characters look how you want them too, instead of settling for someone who might kinda look like them. I think they could have incorporated Batman Beyond into possible sequels. I'm always game for a little time travel. I think it looks better in cg form than it would in physical form. Looks looks freaking awesome, regardless.

I think I saw one pic of this before but seeing all of it is absolutely amazing! Techy gothic. I would change the wings though. I loved Batman Beyond and hope we get to see a live action eventually.

Agreed, Terry McGinnis was a nice change of pace from the sometimes grim Bruce Wayne. Instead of just making it kid Batman, they made a very original show with great characters.

The series had a surreal story line a bit strange to me, everything was dark even in the light. It made for something different but it still seemed a little odd.

This art is great work, weather fan or conception studio.

At the end when it is revealed that Terry is the old man's son through part of Amanda Waller's doing was a "WTF....?"

Diggin' the suit, not a fan of the wings though. I really liked the armpit wings from ths show.
