The RED actor was asked to share his side of the recent rumor buzz surrounding Unbreakable 2, the F4 reboot and the continuation of the Die Hard franchise.
During a recent press junket promoting the release of the comic book adaptation RED, Bruce Willis was inevitably questioned about his involvement in a plethora of projects. Regarding an earlier report that 20th Century Fox was interested in having him voice a CGI version of The Thing in the Fantastic Four reboot, Willis smiled,
"[It's] a rumor, but I love rumors. I haven't gotten that call yet."
At which point actor Karl Urban, who was sitting in during the interview, interjected, "Well, it's a good rumor." To which Willis replied,
"It is a good rumor.. they're good comics"
Fans of M. Night Shyamalan's Unbreakable have been clamoring for a sequel for years; and to no avail. There is no word yet if the director will revisit the property anytime soon, but Willis remains hopeful we will see his character on screen again.
"You better talk some sense into [M.] Night Shyamalan, see if he can come around. I don't want to put him on the spot, because I've already had a conversation with him. But I think a lot of people would like to see a sequel to that film."
With the popularity of the Die Hard series still strong, a fifth installment has been on the radar for some time now. Willis has stated in past interviews he would be open to having Len Wiseman and Justin Long return as director and co-star respectively from the last Die Hard movie, Live Free or Die Hard. While he didn't offer up any details on the story, a first draft for the next movie has been turned in.
"It's probably going to happen in 2011," he said. "We have a script. They're making a couple changes right now."
