While filming a commercial abroad, actor Hugh Jackman lets slip that he is gearing up for a Spring start date to the X-Men Origins: Wolverine sequel.

Not much is known about 20th Century Fox's impending follow up to X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Hugh Jackman is confirmed to reprise his role as Logan, the Adamantium skeleton-laced berzerker, and a script by Christopher McQuarrie. Directors David Slade, Darren Aronofsky and Matt Reeves have all been recently linked to the project, though the studio has yet to announce who has been chosen to helm the sequel.
During a visit to Uruguay on a commercial shoot, Jackman spoke with the local media about his experience hosting the Academy Awards and his love of soccer and rugby. The actor was also asked if he was ready to bring Wolverine back to the masses, to which he replied, "Of course... We're coming back next March or April."
The yet to be titled Wolverine sequel will supposedly follow the title character on his journey through Japan; a story based on 1982's Wolverine mini-series by writer Chris Claremont and artist Frank Miller.

As Tweeted by Mr. Millar this morning... mrmarkmillar Also, a pal told me Wolverine 2 script is one of the best he's ever read. This is a guy I totally trust and he agrees the first one sucked.

Too bad Millar's a guy I don't trust. He'll say anything for attention.

I'm all for Wolverine cus I love the character and Hugh as him. I just hope it is way better than the first atrocity.

Meh, they can tell me Hugh goes full on berserker rage and wears the brown and tans, I'd still be hard pressed to be mildly hopeful that FOX doesn't punch out another turd. No faith in FOX.
