Its a shame they can't just say the shield is made out of vibranium. Paladium, pulsory sensors, electro magnetic conductivity. Who Knew? I just thought it was a big circle of metal

Yeah, what a crock
I'll bet they make it so that ANYONE can throw it like Cap does.

That would be a travesty.
Is the Thor footage on Blu-Ray only? Or is it on the regular DVD as well.

Maybe it is a pre-Vibranium/other metal compound shield. Or maybe Marvel doesn't own the rights to Vibranium...doesn't FOX own the rights to Adamantium?

Yeah, unfortunately FOX owns the rites to all the known iums in the Marvel comic universe. Paladium was made up for Marvel Studios continuity in their films.

More details:
"Iron Man 2" - "The Avengers"
* According to S.H.I.E.L.D Vault report - War Machine is not on "The Avengers Initiative" program. Rhodes is signed only under "Project: Iron Man".
* Director Fury and agent Romanoff's (a.k.a Black Widow) current assignments are classified.
* Bruce Banner is still on the run.

Even though it sounds like a waste of time to go through all the 'what's it made' stuff, we're the only one's who already know what the shield is made of, the rest of the public doesn't. It's kind of a necessary evil.

The one I'm curious about is 'secondary movement'. Could this be a realistic explanation for how Cap throws something hell of a lot larger, heavier and more cumbersome than a frizzby? If that's true and it's done right, it could be a happy medium between fanboy credibility and World War reality.

One more week. Can't wait to look this all over.
