Storefront Construction on CAPTAIN AMERICA Movie Set May Hint at Stan Lee Cameo
A few new images from the Manchester set of Marvel Studios' Captain America movie appear to hint at what the comic icon's cameo appearance may be.
Construction is still underway in an effort to transform several UK locations into 1940s New York City for Captain America: The First Avenger. The comic book adaptation chronicles the life of Steve Rogers who, through the US Army's secretive Super Soldier Program, becomes the Star Spangled Avenger; Captain America.
Stan Lee, former President of Marvel Comics and co-creator of some of their most iconic characters, has managed to make cameo appearances in most of the recent films based on Marvel heroes. There has been speculation whether Lee would even appear in Captain America, since he didn't have a hand in the character's creation; though Lee himself has mentioned several times that he hopes to have the time to film the cameo. A recent photo from the Manchester set of the film may hint at exactly where the production team is planning on squeezing Lee in. Look closely; it's not hard to find a very familiar phrase coined by Stan "The Man" himself:
With principal photography already under way, many random photos from the various sets have begun to appear online. The most notable, of course, being images of a stunt man wearing the Captain America movie costume while riding a motorcycle around the set (which you can view HERE).
Captain America: The First Avenger stars Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci, Haley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, Dominic Cooper Toby Jones and Neal McDonough. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on July 22nd, 2011.

On the note of a different Marvel character coming to film next year, I wonder if he'll have a cameo in Thor.

He does have a cameo in Thor for sure, the buzz has been he plays a tow truck driver to tries to pull out Thor's hammer from the crater and when he does the truck gets yanked of its frame and you see Stan Lee look puzzled

I don't know, Stan Lee as a cigar store owner? Does he smoke? Does Steve Roger smoke? Not something to be show in a superhero movie that is mostly aim towards kids, Captain America shopping in a cigar store, buying cigar.

On the opposite end, he DIDN'T have a cameo in the Xmen, even though the original 5 are his creations.

I think that is what it is in Thor and BTW Stan Lee has a cameo in X-Men, he plays a hot dog vendor on the beach when Sen. Kelly shows up from the water

Stan was also in X3, he was watering his lawn when a young Jean Grey makes everything in her neighborhood levitate.
