Godland is a difficult comic to review with #34 giving no favors. There is plenty of Kirby inspired cosmic adventure here, but with a price of exclusivity to new audiences. That much is said in the book's recap section in which it is stated that people who have to read it "haven't been paying attention." Besides a character name recall at the beginning, there are no references here to previous issue. Being this series is a psychedelic metaphysical homage to such classic titles like New Gods and Eternals, jumping directly into this issue may seem a daunting task.
