Tim Burton may be taking a by-the-numbers approach to his live action films but as far as animation goes he's back at the top of his game. Frankenweenie is a heartfelt and hilarious homage to monster movies of old that's by far Burton's best in years. Hauntingly beautiful animation and a playfully dark story couple up to create plenty of enjoyment for kids and even more for adults.
