21 Jump Street was surprisingly one of the funniest movies I've seen in a couple of years. I was expecting to walk in to the theater and watch another over-advertised comedy with no substance. I don't think I've laughed that hard at a theater in a while. The chemistry between Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum is brilliant. They play the roles perfectly as undercover cops going on a mission as high school students. This was one of Jonah Hill's funniest roles right next to Superbad. I was surprised to find that Channing Tatum actually has a sense of humor and I actually liked his performance. This is another one of those comedies that are acceptable to quote out in public at a certain moment. Definitely should be recognized in the future as a classic. The only thing that I found that I didn't like about the movie was that it was just a little too long towards the end. Yes it was still funny, but just dragged on a little too long.

I haven't laughed this hard watching a movie at the theater since Role Models. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum have surprisingly great chemistry, with Tatum flexing his comedic side that is much better than his drama take. What really got me was Johnny Depp's cameo, which was the icing on the cake. 21 Jump Street reaches heights where few others have been: being comedic gold.

A surprisingly sharp satire that's equal parts Judd Apatow and John Hughes. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum make a brilliant duo, leading a hilarious comedy that mixes great physical humor, hysterical vulgarity, and just a few poignant of meta-jokes. Even during it's weaker second half (merely by virtue of the first hour being so consistently uproarious), it never stops being fun, keeping a steady stream of jokes while it wraps up its story line in relatively standard fashion. All in all, 21 Jump Street is a shining of entertainment in the dead lands of pre-Summer movie season.
